Why Sugar is Toxic!
  • The more you train your body to burn sugar, the more it will do just that.  The body will burn what is easiest and most abundant first (alcohol, glucose, fatty acids, ketones)
  • Sugar is toxic and the body knows it.  This is why we have so many hormones that regulate blood glucose and when our body is overloaded then our hormones are overworked.
  • Starting your day with a sugary breakfast (toast and jam, cereal, bagels, muffins) will cause your body to want to burn sugar all day long.  This in turn will cause sugar cravings, crashes and low energy.  


Don't be fooled, these are all names for sugar. It hides everywhere and in everything. Eat real food that doesn't come in a package, box or can and you will be safe.

-Herbal sweetener
-High fructose corn syrup
-Honey
-Invert sugar
-Lactose
-Maltose
-Mannitol
-Maple syrup
-Molasses
-Polydextrose
-Raw sugar
-Sorbitol
-Sorghum
-Sucrose
-Turbinado

But artificial sweeteners are way worse and should not be part of your diet. They cause more sugar cravings, weight gain and many more health issues. Stay away from aspartame (amino sweet, nutra sweet), sucralose (splenda), tagatose, saccharin, acesulfame K. These are harmful to your body and should not be consumed.
